Another one for today is this chap
This one set alarm bells ringing for me as soon as I saw this profile page. He had made one patriotic post, there are no photos on this profile page at all. He is following a lot of people with minimal numbers following him. This is his backstory
- His name is Josh Paker
- He comes from San Antonio in Texas (This state seems rather popular with the scammers or California, I don't know why)
- He is single and has been divorced 5 years. Apparently his wife cheated on him with a neighbour and became pregnant
- He had one daughter called Tracy who is 22 years old
- He works in the US Army and, guess what, is out peacekeeping in Syria
This was pretty much as far as we got. We exchanged basic information and introduced ourselves. He used the expected flattering language towards me, written in very bad English. A classic starter to a sentence when they are describing themselves and their attributes, likes and dislikes is to start the sentence with 'am'. Typical African starter - we would usually say 'I am...."
I cut to the chase very quickly and blocked him because he was just so damn obvious.
