And the first one for today is this guy
This is a guy who has had his images stolen and used on instagram many times too
ETA The real guy in the images is called Leon Pikor and his daughter is Eva.
This is his backstory
- His name is John Worthmill
- He is from Manchester City
- He is a marine engineer
- He is a widower
- He has a daughter Eva who is 8
This guy is such an obvious fake for the following reasons:
- The name is a bit suspicious - I have never heard of the surname Worthmill and when he introduced himself he wrote it as Worthwhile
- He used immediate flattery and said that he knew we would be good friends
- The fact that he said that he was from Manchester City. I always question this because I come from the UK and we would never call Manchester, Manchester City. It sounds more like someone who is unfamiliar with the UK picking the name of a Premier League football team.
- The photos have been around associated with a lot of different names on Instagram. They can't all be real can they?
- He lost his wife to "the cold hands of death". A very dramatic and unusual description of his wife dying.
- The whole of his backstory just lends credence to the fact he is fake.
After we had chatted for a while on hangouts, I challenged him about the photographs being used on Instagram as other people. He admitted he was a faker and a scammer and lived in Nigeria. He got blocked and reported on Instagram and blocked on hangouts. These are the pictures that he gave me.
