And the first one for today is this guy

And here is his backstory

  • He is called Andrews Edmond
  • He is from Texas
  • He is and engineer
  • He is 47 years old
  • He is single with no children
This guy was very flattering immediately and asked all the usual questions to get to know me and get pictures from me.  I got his basics too.  The conversation passed by as usual, he sent a lot of cut and paste nonsense about his likes and dislikes, what he is looking for in a woman, his hobbies and pastimes.  All I was wondering with him was how long it would take him to ask me for cash and what the reason would be.  I didn't have to wait long.  One weekend he messaged me and said he was dying of food poisoning and it was his 96 year old Nan's birthday. I did wonder about the possibility of his Nan being alive and it is possible I think just about.  However, he decided he needed £350 to buy her a glorious birthday present.  I called him out as fake and a scammer.  He actually admitted to me that he is from Ghana and wanted me to help him get the documents he needed to be able to move to England. Here are screenshots of our conversation.  I apologise for the language used as usual and must explain that he had sent me a picture of his private parts all aroused.  Let's just say that they weren't his and had been searched for on Google.  This will help to explain some of the conversation that follows to you.

The account is still active on Instagram.

ETA   a friend sent me some screenshots from the conversation she had with this guy too

Huge apologies that I don't have a screenshot of this guy's Instagram profile, however he was using images of Dr Steve G Jones.  If you want to see what some of this guy's images are then please look at the page all about the fakers using the images of Dr Steve Jones from the drop down menu at the top of the page.

And this is this guy's backstory

  • He is Dr Steve Jones
  • He is a military doctor with the UN in Syria
  • He is a single dad with a 13 year old
  • His wife died in a car accident, 5 years ago
This guy opened his conversation on Instagram with "Hello beautiful woman" and asked if we had met before. I have obviously seen this guy's images many times before and this comment did make me chuckle, but I didn't rise to it.  We did the basic introductions but no further because I told him that I knew he was a fake.  I reported and blocked him.  On checking today, this Instagram profile is no longer there.  There are no screenshots of our conversation either.  We did not move onto another messaging platform.

And the next one for today is this guy   john.clifford.1276487

I apologise that I idon't have a screenshot of this guy's Instagram profile.  But here is his backstory

  • His name is John Clifford
  • He is an engineer
  • He is offshore as a supervisor contractor
  • He works on an oil rig 400 nautical miles in the "Scout land" ocean (pmsl)
  • He works with Maersk
  • He is from Germany originally but is living in Texas in the "united state" (written here as written to me)
  • His wife and 2 kids died in a fatal car accident (America is a very dangerous place to drive)
This guy was obviously fake right from the get go.  His cut and paste comments were so blatant and he asked all the usual questions and I found out a lot about him.  He moved us onto hangouts so quickly and there his name was Frank David. Although a lot of the information given was absolute and utter rubbish and really showed him up to be fake.  He also sent videos of 'him' singing along to songs really badly. He very quickly asked for iTunes cards £500 worth sent as 5 x £100 to enable resale for the maximum amount of cash possible. He couldn't believe he had been found out.

And the first one for today is this guy

And this is his backstory

  • Hid name is Kelvin Sund
  • He is 41
  • He is from Dallas, Texas
  • He is a single father with 2 sons aged 7 and 10
  • He is a military policeman
And this guy was quite clearly a fake for me right from the start.  There were lots of clues there for me to see. His English was not brilliant; he spelt some words phonetically (they were not typos or misspellings); usual language used eg they describe you as their queen, their wife.  He was flattering immediately to me, he asked all the usual questions to find out the basic information but this one asked the more personal stuff like salary, renting or owning the house lived in.

The scam here was that he needed help to update his internet. He wanted a $50 iTunes card.  Reported and blocked immediately. On looking today his profile is still there and he is up to following 996 people and has 333 followers.  The number he is following is a really good clue that it is not a genuine account.

Here are the photos that he sent me.

These are screenshots from a conversation this guy had with a friend.  No backstory as such but some good examples of how scammers phrase their messages.

I have no backstory for this guy but a search brought up the following information

And another for today is this guy

And here is his backstory

  • His name is Markson Woodgate
And that really is all I know from him.  He I felt was a much more experienced scammer and was much more slick and much better with the patter.  We passed the time of day very briefly on Instagram and he moved us onto hangouts straightaway.  Here he would call me and he definitely did not have the voice that matched the picture he was using.  He asked the usual questions but didn't give answers that required personal information but he would answer questions about personality and hobbies, likes and dislikes for example.  He also spoke and wrote a lot better English although it still wasn't always quite "right" ie used the word "Am" not "I am". Doing a reverse image search proved very fruitful with this guy.  I thought that I recognised the guy he was stealing and I did.  It turns out he had stolen the image of Geoffrey Zakarian who is a very well known American chef who now presents food programmes on Food Network (which we see in the UK too).  I challenged the guy about them and he just denied everything.  I don't know what the scam was here but there was sure to be one somewhere along the line.  I just wonder how long I would have had to keep on talking to him to find out?  Here is the image he sent me and screenshots of the reverse image search and our conversation.

And one for today is this guy    mendozaricardo959

Apologies I don't have this guy's Instagram profile page or any pictures of him but the pictures he was  using were of a Hispanic guy with a child.

And this is his backstory

  • His name is Ricardo Mendoza
  • He is 47
  • He works in 'Netherland'
  • He went to school in Turkey (I think this snippet was given in case we ever voice called to explain away his real accent)
And this was all I found out about him.  He talked very infrequently but was overly loving and very familiar with me when he did.  Then out of the blue came the request for financial assistance.  He wanted money to help pay legal costs accrued in a case he took out against his employer.  This is all a load of rubbish.  Anyway here are the screenshots to read.

And another for today is this guy

And this is his backstory

  • He is called John Davis
  • He is from Kansas City, USA
  • He is a widower
  • He has 2 children; a son of 12 and a daughter of 15
  • He is a solder in Kabul,  Afghanistan
  • He is a Roman Catholic
We passed the usual basic introductions with each other and all the usual initial questions.  This guy was rather confused about me being unmarried but having a child.  We moved onto hangouts, he was called John Davis, where we talked for a little.  He decided that it was his birthday in the month of June, the 5th to be precise and he decided that he wanted me to buy him an iPhone or an iTunes card.  At this point he got reported  and blocked.  Here are some screenshots from our conversation for you to read.

And the first one for today is this guy

And this is his backstory

  • He is called Festus Clark
  • He is an electrical engineer
  • He is from Georgia, USA
  • He is a single father
  • He has 2 children, one girl aged 11 and a son of 18
  • His wife died 2 years ago
This guy opened with the usual platitudes and compliments of looking pretty, beautiful and extremely gorgeous.  He asked all the basic questions and did the basic introductions.  He mentioned that the had a contract in Leicester City - note the use of a name that is a Premier League football team but not the correct name used by genuine Brits.  We would say Leicester.  We never got to the question of what he wanted from me.  I have no doubt that we would have reached it at some point but he said the word "Alaye".  When I questioned him he said that it was spoken in Thailand. Nice try but we are aware that it isYoruban.  Here are some screenshots for to you read.
