And there is no backstory for this guy. A reverse image search was successful and showed the real person in the photos being used.
The real guy is Dragan Sutanovac
There is a screenshot of the conversation this scammer had with my friend. Just look at the utter rubbish written in really poor English for a born and bred, supposedly well-educated American. Just so unbelievable.
