And there is no need for a backstory with this guy because he ended up asking me for money to get him stuff where he was working in Nigeria. I also have just recently seen another 2 accounts using images of the same guy.
And these are two screenshots that show what a liar he is. Scottish born, raised in Kentucky and lives in Florida in the top one and from Oregon but lives in Florida in the bottom one. Laughable really.
And the following three screenshots show where this "friendship" was heading all along.
The following screenshot was taken from his Instagram profile and one of the comments underneath his post is very enlightening. It really does pay to do your research and read comments under their posts because they can really tell you all you need to know about the person behind the account.

I can't make up my mind whether these images have been photoshopped by adding the head onto the neck. The following screenshots are taken from my conversation with the scammer on WhatsApp. They are included here so you can get a feel for the language used. This one was a very slick guy and was quite believable at times.
