This is a fake account from Instagram, spoken with just this week, where the scammer is using images of CAPTAIN THOMAS LINDEGAARD MADSEN. I have included this account separately so that you can read how the conversation usually goes when one of these messages you on Instagram. The information of the real man can be found if you follow this link here.
Please do not send this person, or anyone you message online, any money, tech, gift cards, or say you will accept a parcel or money from them. The money, tech and gift cards goes to fund their scamming lifestyle. If you accept a parcel you will be expected to pay money to receive the parcel which will never arrive with you. If you accept money from them by bank transfer, western union, moneygram or any other way then be aware that you are handling money they have made from scamming other people and you are guilty of money laundering which is a crime punishable with a prison sentence. Is your scammer worth getting a criminal record for??? I don't think so so please don't do it. The scammer doesn't love you they love your money and your naivety and your willingness to help them. They laugh, call you a client, call what they do hustling. These are not the actions of a person who loves you.
And here is the profile page and username on Instagram - clearly using Captain Thomas Lindegaard Madsen's images.
If you are not sure about who is messaging you and whether they are fake or not, try reading the message out loud. I find it often sounds "African" in its tone and choice of words.
Note the use of the opening "Am" - bad grammar in English and where he says he is from. They often choose places in Texas.
Please note here that he has managed to spell the company correctly but does not know how to spell his occupation of marine engineer or that the real man is a Captain and part of the deck crew and in over all charge of the vessel.
Oh and also the ship is on delivery to Berlin in Germany which is a landlocked city.
In this screenshot notice that he says that he is originally from Scotland meaning that he would be Scottish and born in Scotland. But, oh no, this guy manages to also be born in Austin, Texas. Very clever of him!! And a fabulous marker to him being a fake scammer.
And this guy actually sent me a photo of himself and guess what??? Yeah - he's Nigerian!!
